Everybody Get Together, Try To Love One Another Right Now
Hell on Earth in three movements: Personal (homelessness, landlordism), Localised (death, destruction), and Existential (environmental disaster, late-stage capitalism), Come On People Now, Smile On Your Brother tells tales of real-life horror set to a backdrop of noise rock tinged post-metal with a distinctly 90’s feel.
Recorded in a disused school in Bolton-On- Dearne back in 2017 by producer Jason Sanderson (Rolo Tomassi), who also performs drums on the EP, it’s taken THE BRIDESMAID a while to get here.
“I was in my mid-thirties, had a thick head of hair and a heart full of hope. All gone now.”
Lead single Cleveland is due for release on March 17 and features the vocal and woodwind skills of Down I Go’s Pete Fraser, the sweet melodies of Dan Fido (Beneath The Ruin), and a theremin solo from Becky Laverty (Roadburn, Prosthetic Records), and accompanying animated music video shot by Known Prick Productions.
